چکیده

Myocardial normal databases for stress myocardial perfusion study have been created by the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine working group. The databases were comprised of gender-, camera rotation rangeand radiopharmaceutical-specific data sets from multiple institutions, and normal database files were created for installation in common nuclear cardiology software. Based on electrocardiography-gated single-photon emission computer tomography (SPECT), left ventricular function including ventricular volumes, systolic and diastolic functions and systolic wall thickening were also analyzed. Normal databases for fatty acid imaging using 123I-beta-methyliodophenyl-pentadecanoic acid (BMIPP) and sympathetic imaging using 123Imeta-iodobenzylguanidine (MIBG) were also examined. This review provides lists and overviews of normal values for myocardial SPECT and ventricular function in a Japanese population. The population-specific approach is a key factor for proper diagnostic and prognostic evaluation.

Normal values and standardization of parameters in nuclear cardiology: Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine working group database

As a 2-year project of the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine working group activity, normal myocardial imaging databases were accumulated and summarized. Stress-rest with gated and non-gated image sets were accumulated for myocardial perfusion imaging and could be used for perfusion defect scoring and normal left ventricular (LV) function analysis. For single-photon emission computed tomogra...

The role of oral dipyridamole stress gated SPECT in assessing the response of the left ventricle to stress: Re-evaluation of an old method

Introduction: We aimed to assess whether the vasodilator effect of oral dipyridamole on the left ventricular systolic function in patients with suspected CAD is different from that of intravenous (IV) dipyridamole using Tc-99m MIBI myocardial perfusion gated SPECT. Methods: Eighty-nine patients (17 M / 72 W; 61 ± 10 years) were enrolled in this study. The patients underwent a dipyridamole stre...

Normal values of left ventricular functional indices in gated 99mTc-MIBI myocardial perfusion SPECT

Introduction: Although left ventricular(LV) function parameters measured by gated myocardial perfusion SPECT (GSPECT) have been validated, experimental data have revealed that the calculated the LV function parameters using GSPECT are affected by patient populations as well as particular acquisition and processing conditions. We tried to determine the normal values ...

Creation and characterization of Japanese standards for myocardial perfusion SPECT: Database from Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine working group activity

Introduction Myocardial SPECT has been utilized as an important tool for optimal decision making in cardiology. The Guidelines for the Clinical Use of Cardiac Radionuclide Imaging were originally published in 1986 in the USA and updated in 1995. 1 In Japan, Nuclear Cardiology Guidelines were also summarized and published in 2005 by the task force of the Japan Circulation Society, Japanese Socie...
